AND MORE

Project Respect was founded in 1999 as a joint collaboration to support mentoring relationships between Waynflete teens and Reiche youth. We are a substance abuse and violence prevention program focused on decision making, skill building, and community.

Mentoring

The Big Brothers of America 1995 Impact Study showed that young people with mentors are:

  • 45% less likely to begin using illegal drugs
  • 27% less likely to begin using alcohol
  • 53% less likely to skip school
  • 33% less likely to hit someone, than children in the research control group

Safety

We participate in safe and age appropriate activities with respect for ourselves, our environment, our community and each other.
